Delivery

We deliver nationwide using a trusted courier service. Delivery fees vary depending on the product. Larger pieces of furniture will incur a higher delivery cost.

Returns

We offer a 7-day guarantee on all Moiks products. Any item returned to us will be inspected; once the inspection has taken place, we will be able to determine if an exchange will be processed. If there is a default in the product, we will try to fix this before an exchange will take place. This guarantee doesn’t apply to products that have been misused, abused, altered, or cleaned using incorrect cleaning methods or products. The guarantee doesn’t extend to normal wear and tear. Should you discover any manufacturer’s fault, please take a photo and send it to us immediately.

Measuring

We can’t emphasise how important it is to measure before your order. Please make sure the furniture will fit in your desired space as well as through doorways, elevators, stairways. We can’t provide a refund for returned items in these events.

Materials

All our hardwoods are FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council) which is sustainable and responsibly harvested. Birch plywood is ecologically sustainable and 100% non-toxic.

Finishes

Wood Sealent:
Rubio Monocoat wood oil is used on all solid woods. I.e. Oak, beech and walnut *Rubio Monocoat is 100% non-toxic and 100% solvent-free. Harlequin water-based varnish is used for Birch ply furniture. *Harlequin Furniture varnish is 100% non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

Harlequin water-based paints used is 100% solvent-free and are one of the few South African Companies that follow the very strict European standards. All their paints are VOC-free. (Volatile Organic Compounds). These compounds are found in many products. They give off a vapour that has a nasty smell and can harm our breathing and eyes, causing nausea, headaches and in severe cases liver and kidney problems.

Understanding Wooden Furniture

Natural characteristics such as knots should not be seen as a defect, these make each piece unique and build character to your piece.

Wood will expand and contract with seasonal moisture level changes. Surface cracks and fine cracks does take place around knots, this should not be seen as a defect.

Color changes to the timber will take place with time with exposure to natural and artificial light. Natural timber will undergo color changes. Natural changes in color can’t be seen as defects and cannot be changed.
